Another week brings another round of very short story writing warm-up!

2-2-20

Prompt word: sanity

I was on edge. My #sanity at stake. I was slipping and it scared me. We were all struggling through the trauma of the endless night and the demands of the denizens of the abyss. I shuddered as a taloned hand stroked my shoulder. A reminder that the nightmare wasn't over. #vss365

2-1-20

Prompt word: script

I looked down at the paper in my hand and sighed. The very thought of actually saying aloud what they had put into the #script this time was making me blush. I closed my eyes and searched for serenity. I was a goddamned professional. I could do this. ...Probably...maybe...#vss365

I hold the hand of a stranger as I lay broken on the sidewalk. It isn't fair. It doesn't matter. #vss365

1-27-20

Prompt word: adversary

He had always been my #adversary. From the moment that I first saw him, I knew. Today he would come to know it too. There would be no more displays of blithe ignorance. Of feigned surprise. I would expose him for the snake he was, and then they would take me seriously... #vss365
